  • 1 medium head cauliflower
  • 2/3 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup plain non-dairy milk (such as almond)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup plain gluten-free bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons water or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang
  • 12 teaspoons sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon water

Instructions

  1. Cut the cauliflower into small florets for even cooking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour, non-dairy milk, garlic powder, and salt until combined.
  3. Toss the florets in the batter until coated, then mix in the bread crumbs thoroughly.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 370°F (190°C).
  5. Air fry the coated cauliflower in batches for 10-13 minutes until crispy.
  6. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pot, sauté garlic and ginger until golden brown.
  7. Add remaining ingredients for the sauce (excluding cornstarch mixture) and whisk well.
  8. Thicken the sauce with the cornstarch mixture by bringing it to a low boil while stirring constantly.
  9. Toss cooked cauliflower wings with the prepared sauce before serving.
