  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour (for crumble topping)
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar (for crumble topping)
  • Unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400° F and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the crumble topping ingredients until clumps form; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. In a large bowl, cream together the sugars and butter until fluffy; then add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla.
  5. Gradually mix in half of the dry ingredients followed by milk; combine well before folding in diced apples.
  6. Fill muffin cups three-quarters full with batter and top generously with crumble mixture.
