  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan or bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter until fluffy. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until pale and airy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the sifted flour and whole milk alternately, starting and ending with flour. Stir until just combined.
  5. Blend in vanilla and optional almond extracts.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
