  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut milk

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken: Combine yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, garam masala, cumin, coriander, paprika, chili powder, and salt in a bowl. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and coat with marinade. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Cook chicken: Heat oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated chicken in batches until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. Prepare sauce: In the same skillet, add butter and onions; sauté until translucent. Stir in garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add spices followed by tomato paste and crushed tomatoes; simmer before stirring in cream.
  4. Combine: Return chicken to skillet and simmer on low for about 10 minutes until heated through.
