  • 1 heaping cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons chai spice blend
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • Pinch of kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, chai spice blend, and salt.
  3. Add cold butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Whisk together the cream and eggs; gradually mix into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface, shape it into a disc, then chill for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough to 1 inch thick and cut into wedges; place on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush with egg wash and bake for 20–22 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While baking, prepare the maple chai glaze by whisking powdered sugar, chai spices, vanilla extract, heavy cream, maple syrup, and salt until smooth.
  9. Once cooled, dip each scone in the glaze and let them set before serving.
