  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 8 oz smoked sausage (sliced)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the broccoli with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for about 15 minutes until slightly crispy.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and sauté the smoked sausage for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from heat.
  4. Lower heat to medium and melt butter in the skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and optional red pepper flakes; simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Return the sausage, shrimp, and roasted broccoli to the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce and heat through for another 2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot over rice or noodles or on its own.
