  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 ½ cups gluten free all purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons potato starch
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon psyllium husk powder
  • 1 packet instant rapid rise yeast
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together flour, water, and milk until thickened; set aside.
  3. In a stand mixer bowl, combine gluten-free flour, potato starch, sugar, psyllium husk powder, yeast, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add warm milk, egg, melted butter, and roux; mix until well blended then beat on high for 5 minutes.
  5. Scoop dough into balls using greased hands and place in the prepared pan.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in the warm oven for 10 minutes; then at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  7. Brush tops with melted butter mixed with salt before baking at 350°F for 22 minutes or until golden.
