Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup cooked turkey bacon (chopped)
  • 1 cup mushrooms (sliced and sautéed)
  • 1 small onion (finely diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Cook turkey bacon in a frying pan until crispy. Set aside and use the remaining fat to sauté sliced mushrooms until browned.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, diced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in half of the shredded Swiss cheese before shaping the mixture into a loaf on your prepared baking sheet or loaf pan.
  5. Top with remaining Swiss cheese and layer on the sautéed mushrooms and chopped turkey bacon.
  6. Bake for about 45–55 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
